One feature of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge is that RE will attempt to assign “overall wealth ratings” to each active “individual” constituent (non-deceased) with a US address. The rating is based on “public assets” such as real estate holdings, private company information, high-confidence public company insider holdings, and high-confidence public company insider options.
In the web view, the rating ranges from one star to five stars representing escalating levels of public assets. A five-star constituent has assets greater than $25,000,000, a four-star constituent has assets between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000, a three-star constituent has assets between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000, a two-star constituent has assets between $500,000 and $1,000,000, and a one-star constituent has assets up to $500,000.
Blackbaud indicates individual constituent record wealth ratings are checked every 365 days and the record is updated if the rating has changed. In all likelihood, there is a continuous movement of wealth ratings across your database throughout the year.
This could be useful information for development efforts, but it is not easy to identify or keep track of constituents whose wealth ratings have changed recently and consider how that may affect your development efforts and plans. That is where an automated customized Changes in Wealth Rating report from Reporting Xpress can be helpful.
As seen below, the Reporting Xpress Changes in Wealth Rating report identifies constituents whose wealth rating has changed recently and indicates the change made. The report can be customized to include information such as last gift, lifetime giving, whether there is an assigned solicitor, and who that solicitor is, last “Action”, or other data from Raiser’s Edge, or potentially from other systems in use by your team.
Like all automated reports on the Reporting Xpress platform, this report runs automatically and can be automatically made available through our secure portal, distributed via automated email distribution, or automatically pushed down into Microsoft Teams channels if your organization has gone “all in” on Office 365.
